First Date
04:05
|
|||
I woke up late this morning,
I blamed it on my phone.
But I can't escape the reason,
I didn't sleep til 4.
I was nervous, 'cause I knew that the next day,
I would face you, and choke finding words to say.
Oh I can't say that I've practiced this before,
So I hope that after our first date
You'll be wanting more.
I walked right passed the mirror and didn't see
The damage by bed did while I was asleep.
The clothes I chose were hanging on the door,
I rushed to dress while tripping with the rest on the floor.
On the surface I'm not perfect in any way,
It's like a circus, the way my mind runs away.
Oh I can't say that I've practiced this before,
So I hope that after our first date
You'll be wanting more.
You'll be wanting more.
That night you called me up,
And you recalled every little thing,
And I just smiled as I laid in my bed listening.
Then you said goodbye and I had to hear it all again,
But this time from my friend.
And I know, he woke up late this morning,
He blamed it on his phone.
But I know you're the reason
He didn't sleep til 4.
He was nervous 'cause he knew that the next day,
He would face you, so I'm the one he asked for what to say.
And 'cause I knew he hadn't practiced this before,
I told him what I would say on our first date,
so you'd be wanting more.

Two Kisses
05:05
|
|||
I didn't mean to seem unconfident,
'Cause I know what they say about first impressions.
So I hope i get a second chance,
I've never been able to dance,
Oh but you move me.
And I can't stay away,
I'm like a moth to a flame.
And I don't mean to be mistakenly offensive,
When I say, when I say
That whether it's hey, hi, hello,
Or goodbye, it's so hard,
To leave with those same two kisses on my cheek.
So don't wait too long,
to realize where they belong,
And I'll wait for the day that you replace them both for one,
Right in the middle.
So I'll be dreaming of the taste,
The look upon your face, all night.
I know it's easier to say tomorrow not today,
But I can't wait another day to give
My last first kiss to you.
I told myself I wouldn't rush again,
But I know you and you're not them.
Yeah there's no comparison.
So give me your hand, I'll give you mine.
Carry you on my back when you are tired.
We can have it all just open your eyes,
'Cause I know you'll see
That whether it's hey, hi, hello,
Or goodbye, it's so hard,
To leave with those same two kisses on my cheek.
So don't wait too long,
to realize where they belong,
And I'll wait for the day that you replace them both for one,
Right in the middle.
So I'll be dreaming of the taste,
The look upon your face, all night.
I know it's easier to say tomorrow not today,
But I can't wait another day to give
My last first kiss,
I wanna give it all to you.
I wanna give it all, give it all to you x2

I Came From Pluto
04:46
|
|||
When I was young,
My mother told I came from
The farthest planet from the Sun.
And when there's nothing left to say,
I hope to return one day.
Since I could crawl,
I'd always find new ways to fall,
But my battle scars let me recall,
That every time I was in need,
My family would be there for me.
When I was young,
My mother told I came from
The farthest planet from the Sun.
And when there's nothing left to say,
I hope to return one day.
And even when the clocks run short on time,
I'll always have these things to reminisce
Until I come back home.
I'd watch the world,
And when I thought I'd seen it all I would curl
Up in a ball until I'd wake up and unfurl.
But every year to my surprise I would see,
The world had changed in front of me.
I used to dream,
Of flying cars and everlasting ice cream,
Of trips to Mars and what it's like on Saturn's rings,
But if I only had one chance to go to space,
In a heartbeat I would always choose that place.
'Cause when I was young,
My mother told I came from
The farthest planet from the Sun.
And when there's nothing left to say,
I hope to return one day.
And even when the clocks run short on time,
I'll always have these things to reminisce,
Yeah even when the clocks run short on time,
I'll always have these things to reminisce
Until I come back home.
Home
When I was young, when I was young,
I came from the farthest planet from the Sun.
And when there's nothing left to say,
I know that I will be returning one day.
I'm coming home, home, I'm coming home.
When I should pass and can no longer breath,
I know nothing will take these memories,
So on my way to where I came to be,
I'll be looking back at blue and green
Until you find your way home with me.

Wings
03:41
|
|||
If you look into my eyes,
I wonder how much they would show you,
And how much that they would hide.
Can you see through all the lies?
Behind my name,
All the pain that I don't show on the outside.
The only thing that sees my wings is the mirror,
I hide away so no one sees their color.
I got demons stacked up on my shoulders,
And I can't tell what time may bring,
But I don't hear angels sing.
It feels like there are hands around my neck,
Can someone take the pressure off my chest?
I wish my heart would talk to me,
Like it did in the first scene.
But now it's just my thoughts and me,
Just my thoughts and me,
Just my thoughts and me.
Now stop, and look at all the things that I've done,
Listen to all the songs that I've sung,
I bet that they don't tell you that
Sometimes I run away just to be by myself,
Hide away, treat my room like a cell.
'Cause sometimes I feel like everybody
would be so much better off without me here.
But now it's just my thoughts and me,
Just my thoughts and me,
Just my thoughts and me,
Just my thoughts and me,
Just my thoughts and me.
And if I break down would you still be there?
If I break down would you still be there?
If I break down would you still be there?
(And if I break down, if I break down)
If I break down would you still be there?

I Miss You
02:20
|
|||
Do you still stay wrapped up in the clothes I left behind?
Do you play our songs when you turn out the light?
Do you still see shapes in the clouds?
And did you keep those things that we found?
I miss the way that you'd look at me,
I miss the way you sound.
I want you to know that I'm coming back,
And that you'll see me around.
But I don't care what color you dye your hair,
No matter what's new I'd learn to love it too.
And I miss you,
I miss you,
I miss you,
I miss you.

Liam Cloud Barcelona, Spain
Nothing breeds intensely personal songs more than change. A change of scenery and life itself is something that Liam is intimately familiar with; having moved through 3 continents in under 2 decades. Part-Kiwi, Part-Filipino and Part-Spanish; Liam Cloud is anything but alien to change and nostalgia reflected in songs like "I Came from Pluto", "I Miss You" and "Two Kisses". ... more
